It may begin with an uncertainty over an issue or concern and as it could not be solved amicably, then our mind may analyze the situation as being not beneficial to us and upon that conclusion, if we decide that we are not willing to forget it, then the feeling of dissatisfaction will occur.

It can happen to anyone and over just about any situation. Sometimes we are not dissatisfied over something concerning us but instead over someone else’s. By witnessing an event that has occurred to someone else and if we again conclude that the outcome over that event is not a win-win ending, then we may develop the feeling of dissatisfaction, too.

Feelings of dissatisfaction can impact us in many ways. While you are reading this and if you do feel that you indeed have some sort of dissatisfaction at work, do start finding out ways to get rid of it soonest possible. Of course, there are at times, when using positive influence would also invite trouble.

Every person can reason what is right and wrong and when they realize that they had been negatively influenced, they would soon seek to move toward a positive thought and possibly followed by a positive reaction.

How we wish this to be as often the case and they would very quickly be on a positive note again. The problem is that when negative influence is used, our environment is impacted almost as instantaneously and trouble would have been created. As it is, what goes round comes around. So, if one were to be not ready for trouble to be back at where it started, it would be wise to refrain on using negative influence.

Look around you and try to see if you can spot any negative influence. Did you see “trouble” been created and did it go back to where it came from?

Have a wonderful weekend,
Stephen Ronee Lau.

MY 3RD BOOK IS ON THE WAY!
Want to know how our mindset can impact our effectiveness in networking? Whatever it is, when we start to get all worked up and getting all sorts of negative thoughts about the jam, we will definitely use up a lot of our mental energy.

Listening to the radio and enjoying the music played or the chats of the radio DJ would be a great idea but using it to think about what you would like to get out of the day or your life may be an option you may want to consider.

Many get stuck in traffic jams everyday and just imagine if you were to take all these time and think about your future and maybe thinking about some plans on how to improve your career, wouldn’t you be proud that you did make good use of your time.

The more you think about what you want to achieve everyday or about how to improve your career, your brain would also get the workouts it need. So, do more thinking when you are at the place (as in a traffic jam) or time (as when you are not doing other important tasks) that you do not have much to do. Mental energy used for thinking about how to improve yourself would be better than using it on building up frustrations.

Stephen Ronee Lau, Mindset Development Specialist.

Check out our calendar of positive mindset development public programs.

I hope you enjoy listening to this..."Winter Sonata", a lovely song from a Korean movie that I played on the piano.

Challenge Yourself… You Will Be Somebody Someday

Give yourself a boost in whatever you want to be by setting your mind for the challenge.

As an example, you may want to get a degree through a part time course. So, before you get worried about all sorts of issues including time, money, sacrifices etc, you would need to be able to tell your mind to make a non-stoppable decision. That is to take on the challenge.

When you start thinking about the rest of the issues, your mind would most likely become undecided due to its reasoning ability and you would soon find that it is quite difficult to pursue the degree after all.

Making up our mind is one of the most difficult task when we try to analyze to consider if we should proceed with what we want to do, especially for long-term projects. So, if you are planning to further your studies, make up your mind and then only start to find out about the rest of the stuff needed for you to pursue a diploma or degree.

For a list of positive mindset development programs, I invite you to visit my Mindset Development Programs' webpage

Article by Stephen Ronee Lau

Super Duper Easy Screen Capture Process

Using the Print Screen feature to copy an image (together with everything on the screen) directly from your computer's screen had always been the normal way to save it for later use. The usual process would require opening another program such as PAINT and paste the copied screen content and then cropping or editing the image to get to the exact image area that is needed.

Now anyone can do this process with an even simple way, that is by using the SnapIt Screen Capture 3.7.

The features are simple to use. Besides capturing anything on the screen, I found the feature for selecting which ever the area that I needed to capture was so fresh and simple. Just pressing the Fn+prt SC keys will start the Print Screen feature and immediately enabled the selection of any area of the screen that I wanted to capture. After holding onto the click and dragging the mouse over the chosen area, the image is then automatically saved as a named file (I could choose the destination to save the file in the Properties section of the application) when I release the mouse click. That's it, done!

I then tried to capture sections of moving images including that of a recorded video clip of my own press interview and it sure was easy enough. All I had to do was press the Fn+prt SC keys and the particular spot freezes (while the video continued to play) and all I needed to do was just select any area from the freeze up screen that I wanted with the mouse and it automatically saved the selected area. Surprising, the saved image is very clear.

The program support hotkeys, auto-saving and clipboard and files can be saved in BMP, GIF, JPEG, PNG and TIFF formats.

If you had always been wondering if there is an easier way to capture a preferred area on your screen, try checking out this software at SnapIt Screen Capture 3.7..

To me, this is a fantastic product and I hope you will enjoy using it too.

Good Luck.

PS. This may include the popular “Snake & Ladder” board game.

As an adult, we are so focus on so many types of activities that it seldom cross our mind that we should continue to give our brains some daily exercise. While some may say that just thinking about work alone would be sufficient, wouldn’t it be great that we can also do some additional mental exercise whenever we are not doing anything important.

As an example, you can challenge your mind to imagine what the numbers are if you keep adding 3 to the new total starting from…say number 1 (e.g. 1 + 3 = 4, then 4 + 3 = 7, and so forth and see how far you can go). You can then do it with number 2 and add a new decided upon number. Difficult at first but your brain will soon show it remarkable power. Just remember that you need to do this silently and do not get too addicted to doing it.

Article by Stephen Ronee Lau

<iframe src="http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?t=mastercontest-20&o=1&p=8&l=bpl&asins=B0021L8V1Q&fc1=000000&IS2=1&lt1=_blank&m=amazon&lc1=0000FF&bc1=000000&bg1=FFFFFF&f=ifr" style="align:left;padding-top:5px;width:131px;height:245px;padding-right:10px;"align="left" scrolling="no" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" frameborder="0">

Getting Stressed on Whether To Reformat Your Computer Or Not?

Could this reduce your headache on whether to reformat your computer once poor system performance is notably high?

I have being using computers since 1992 and have seen pretty much and experienced the trouble with computers getting slower, freezing and even auto shutting down over time. My usual decision would be to reformat them and hours of work would be wasted while doing this. I have since tried to look for a more time saving solution that could be effective enough for me to rectify system issues and found that there are quite a few system optimization programs available.

Last month, I was introduced to check out the Digeus System Optimizer software and it so happened that my laptop was also running slow on performance and had several auto shuts that were rather annoying, too. Not sure if it would help, I decided to give it a try instead of doing a reformat.

What a surprise when the Registry scan report was shown. There were just too many registry invalid entries issues that were reported and I guessed this must have been the main reason for the poor system performance. I did not do a backup of the present registry and just proceeded to click the Fix and then proceeded to check out the rest of the features of this system optimizer.

This software has so many features to assist in optimizing the system that at one point, I was not sure if I am making the best decision when using all of the features that came with it. Anyway and based on my intuition, I completed checking and fixing whichever areas that I am familiar with and restarted the laptop. To my surprise, the laptop started and opening programs worked much faster.

The program's main features are divided into several categories such as Optimize, Tweak, Security, Window Tools and Administer and these came with quite a complete range of tasks that I could choose to scan the system on other areas. After trying a few of these, I then checked out the Optimization Wizard. It is really a good tool to use as it will provided the “what's next to do” process. All I had to do was decide if I needed the issue to be fixed. This should be good for users who have not much technical background about computers.

A note of caution though. I found that some registries that were deleted had an impact on my Celframe Mail application. I decided to reinstall the application and it worked fine after that. So, a decision on backing up for each area that would require fixing is highly recommended.

If you are having trouble with your computer's performance and do not want to do a reformat as yet, try checking out this software at http://www.digeus.com/. However, do take the Free Scan to see if your system does have registry issues and etc.

I have tried and liked it, so if you are wondering if your computer needs a reformatting, then do check out this software and see if it can resolve the issues. The least is that you will get to know so much more about the areas that may affect system performance.

Good Luck.

PS. We can use various ways to achieve this but for many of us, we seldom take enough awareness to think about this and most often we are not even aware that our mental energy is low.

Food, exercise, rest and even the way we think and work can impact our mental energy.

All of us are pretty much aware that food and exercise play very important roles in ensuring that our bodies get the nutrients and bodily movements to keep in it good energetic form. Although one may say that he is consuming enough food and doing sufficient exercise and yet feel mentally tired, then we can look at whether he has taken enough water or rest. Even if the person has done all of this, his daily tasks such as working at the office, traveling around or even doing housework can impact his mental energy. What he thinks of during the time he is doing any of the tasks will impact his mental energy after the tasks.

So, if we were to set aside the effects of food, exercise and rest aside, we can then focus on how our thoughts can reduce our mental energy.

As an example, have you noticed that while you were doing something that you did not like and your mind goes into all sorts of thoughts (maybe positive or negative) and you feel terrible after completing the tasks? Lets look at the negative thoughts for our discussion here.

They tend to make you think quickly and move from one thought to another while you are doing the tasks. All these thoughts will take up our mental energy. The more you think, the more energy is use up. So, if you would like to prevent your mental energy from being drained off, try not to think about negative thoughts and just complete the tasks. Even better, try understanding the task while you are doing it and it may benefit you additionally by giving you the experience.

Start Now
Try focusing on what you are doing and email me if you can make use of this tip to improve your mental energy.

For a list of positive mindset development programs, I invite you to visit my Mindset Development Programs' webpage

Article by Stephen Ronee Lau

Achieve Mental Alertness… Exercise Your Brain With Numbers

When we are young, we enjoy all sorts of children games, especially those that challenge our ability to count. This may include the popular “Snake & Ladder” board game.

As an adult, we are so focus on some many types of activities that it seldom cross our mind that we should continue to give our brains some daily exercise.

Difficult at first but your brain will soon show its remarkable power. Just remember that you need to do this silently and do not get too addicted to doing it.

Article by Stephen Ronee Lau

Observe Successful People… They Have Visible Trends!

For good or bad, successful people have ways of making plans and reaching to where they are. Looking at their successes, either from a financial or non-financial point of view, one should not just look at what they have achieved.

If one were to ask, how did they do it? Then, there are just too many answers to it, too. From a financial perspective, they may have inherited their wealth. They may have worked hard throughout their lives. They may have the help of great friends. From a non-financial perspective, they may know what they want, such as getting a PhD or a Master’s Degree. They may have thought of a new idea, pursued it and won an award for it.

So, if one were to ask, what could we learn from successful people? One of it would be learn to observe their trends.

This may include observing how they speak, think and approach whatever they do. Are they perfect? No, of course. But, they definitely do have more positive than negative trends.

So, observing them would be a good start and who knows what you may learn from these observations.

Start Now
Choose someone whom you can see quite often and start observing them. Can you spot any unique behavior? For ladies, you may choose titles that are written by other ladies as their stories may relate to you easily. Almost all training programs provide the necessary information for us to develop our brain, irrespective of whether we are aware of it or not. So, developing our brains would be beneficial for a better mindset and mental state. We can think, analyze, plan, create and execute tasks better and hopefully with more consistency.

Ensuring that our brains can absorb as much as we want everyday, we need to prepare it for our lifetime function. We constantly need to have enough rest, eat the right foods, exercise regularly and even learn to meditate so that its inert activities can also rest in a controlled manner. Even thinking negatively or behaving aggressively can impact our mental development. In this case, it may be negatively developed.

Playing a game of chess or even doing a round of gardening would be great for it, provided that we do not think of anything else while doing them.....Good Luck!

Article by Stephen Ronee Lau
